The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a passion for helping others, particularly in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry settings. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use. Take and develop medical imaging as needed, including X-rays. Manage patient records accurately using Epic systems, ensuring all medical records are up to date. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Support the administrative team with tasks related to patient intake and insurance verification as necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of dental terminology essential. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and general dentistry practices is a plus. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and infection control standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
