Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Hatboro, PA

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical records. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and pediatric dentistry. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental services across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging using digital systems such as 3D scanners Record vital signs and medical history accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist and scheduling appointments Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency Educate patients on dental procedures, post-care instructions, and oral health maintenance Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Assist with medical coding for billing purposes and ensure accurate entry of dental records Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with 3D scanners is a plus Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and caring for pediatric patients is desirable Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards Strong understanding of medical terminology and medical documentation processes Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Certification in dental assisting or relevant training preferred; CPR certification is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills further while contributing to patient health and comfort.
