Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant / Receptionist who can confidently support both chairside and front-office responsibilities. This is a key role in our growing practice — ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, values patient-centered care, and enjoys combining clinical expertise with administrative excellence. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with Dr. Patel during dental procedures, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and organize materials according to infection control protocols. Take and develop dental x-rays with precision to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Verify patient insurance benefits, obtain breakdowns, and enter data into our system. Present treatment plans, review estimated costs/coverage, and answer patient questions with clarity and empathy. Schedule appointments, manage patient records, handle phone/email communications, and ensure smooth check-in/check-out. Support patient recruitment and referrals by providing a welcoming, professional experience at every visit. Conduct patient assessments, record medical histories, and take/document vital signs accurately. Assist with administrative tasks including medical/dental coding, billing support, and documentation. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a recognized dental assisting program or equivalent on-the-job experience. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a dental setting. Active X-ray certification. Proficiency in insurance verification, treatment plan presentation, and financial discussions with patients.
