Dental Office Front Desk / Assistant - PREMIER DENTISTRY - Richardson, TX

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office team member to join our staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental or medical office environment, customer service experience, have a friendly attitude, is a fast learner, is efficient, and willing to learn new things. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations within the office, providing excellent patient service, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Dental Office Floater will work closely with both patients and dental professionals to facilitate appointments, manage patient information, assist the Dentists during procedures, and support the overall efficiency of the practice. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, including answering multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments. Confirm patient appointments. Verify insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing. Maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Easy Dental, Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix. Perform medical billing and coding tasks, including CPT coding and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding. Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the preparation of care plans and ensure all necessary documentation is completed. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing correspondence. Facilitate communication between patients and dental staff to ensure a high level of patient service. Utilize Microsoft Office/Google Drive for various administrative tasks as needed. Support the dental team with clinical duties as required (ie. cleaning/setting up operatories, assisting the Dentist, taking clinical notes, taking dental x-rays, etc.) Experience Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and health information management is preferred. Experience with EMR systems such as Easy Dental or other relevant software is highly desirable. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Drive applications. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are crucial for this role. A background in medical administrative support or medical office management will be beneficial.
