Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Phoenix, AZ

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, skilled and well versed Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic family practice dental team. We are a private practice and schedule one hour appointments for our hygienists with no double booked schedules. We create an environment where the patient never feels like they are "on the clock" and we promote a minimal stress environment once you walk in the door. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, conducting patient assessments, and supporting the overall dental practice. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments while adhering to aseptic techniques. Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and team. Assist in chairside procedures, providing support during examinations and treatments. Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Maintain infection control protocols within the dental clinic environment. Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practices. Experience Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is a plus. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and documentation review. Understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and anatomy knowledge is beneficial. Experience with four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care are essential.
