In this role, you'll work closely with our doctors to take excellent care of our patients and help them obtain the smiles of their dreams. QUALIFICATIONS Excellent communication skills Ability to connect with patients and help them feel at ease Ability to float between our Sacramento, West Sacramento, and Davis offices Adaptable and helpful team spirit Genuine love for the dentistry field and a heart for serving others Preferred - 2+ years of orthodontic assisting experience Preferred - Familiarity with dental/orthodontic terminology Preferred - Experience using dental software (Dolphin, Ortho2, etc.) Our RDA Orthodontic Assistant also needs at least one of the following: X-ray certification OA certification RDA license (or in current pursuit of one) WHAT A DAY AS OUR RDA ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT LOOKS LIKE You'll work Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with one hour for lunch. Working closely with our doctors and support team, you'll help make sure every appointment goes off without a hitch! You'll assist during braces and aligner appointments, grabbing tools for the doctor, positioning the patient, and providing at-home care tips. Once the appointment is done, you'll sterilize the equipment and get everything ready for the next patient. You'll also take diagnostic images as needed (x-rays, intraoral scans, etc.), making sure the pictures come out clearly.
