Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) - Rocklin Smiles - Rocklin, CA

We are a private general dental practice in Rocklin that is looking for a hygienist to work 2 days per week and that could turn into a full time position if possible. We have the latest equipment and pride ourselves in building long, lasting relationships with our patients while providing comprehensive quality care. Our hygienists are responsible for one patient per hour. Our ideal candidate has excellent clinical and communication skills. We are a team-oriented office so a positive work ethic is required. We would prefer someone with experience in all facets of hygiene care, digital charting, x-rays, anesthesia, and sealants. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control protocols Review and update medical records accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor and document patient responses during procedures, ensuring optimal patient care at all times Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for everyone Collaborate with dentists and other team members to optimize treatment plans and patient outcomes Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting, preferably with pediatric dentistry exposure Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management Strong understanding of infection control procedures, sterilization techniques, and aseptic protocols Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups Join us in creating healthier smiles while advancing your career in a vibrant environment that values your expertise!
