Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role requires strong knowledge of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient health and comfort. The Registered Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver comprehensive oral health services in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. Duties Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct initial patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays using appropriate aseptic techniques Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques Review and update medical records accurately in EMR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and provide reassurance as needed Maintain infection control standards by adhering to sterilization protocols and aseptic techniques Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning and documentation review Ensure all documentation aligns with medical coding standards for billing purposes Experience Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensure Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics preferred Proficiency with dental office software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR systems Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical terminology Experience with pediatric dentistry and pediatrics is a plus Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and techniques for patient assessment Previous experience in dental assisting or chairside assisting is advantageous Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical records management Ability to perform comprehensive patient care while demonstrating professionalism and compassion Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour Work Location: In person
