Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Bilingual Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control, and support patient care in a fast-paced dental clinic environment. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential to effectively communicate with our diverse patient base. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a comprehensive general dentistry practice, including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, utilizing Dentrix. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical documentation, and infection control protocols. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies using aseptic techniques Take and develop X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Record vital signs and medical history accurately within Dentrix. Manage patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures and medical coding Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort Educate patients on post-treatment care and dental terminology in both English and Spanish Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and ensuring a clean clinical environment Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed Assist with medical imaging procedures and monitor patient vital signs during visits Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for effective communication with patients Familiarity Dentrix platform. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; certification preferred Understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding practices Experience with pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and 3D scanner technology is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and records management Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care in a busy clinical setting This position offers an engaging work environment where professionalism, technical expertise, and bilingual communication are highly valued.
