Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared efficiently. Perform chairside assisting with precision, including taking and developing X-rays, operating dental imaging equipment such as 3D scanners,Dentrix knowledge and compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Support patient comfort by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using dental and medical terminology, and addressing patient questions with professionalism Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring all dental instruments are sterilized properly. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry practices. Familiarity with dental assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and taking X-rays is essential. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, dentures and implants is required to ensure safe and effective patient care. Experience operating dental imaging equipment like 3D scanners. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix . Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and data security is mandatory. medical terminology or medical coding are a plus for candidates seeking to expand their role within the practice.
