Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and professional Dental Front Desk Coordinator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, insurance verification, and medical record maintenance. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in dental office management systems, and a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and billing procedures. Prior dental clinic experience is required. are highly preferred to ensure seamless patient service and administrative support. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using Open Dental Verify insurance coverage and benefits Collect payments, process billing, and manage accounts receivable Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Manage filing of patient records and organize documentation review processes Assist with intake procedures for new patients and update existing patient information regularly Support office management tasks such as inventory control, appointment reminders, and clerical duties using Microsoft Office tools Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations related to medical office operations Requirements Prior experience in a dental or medical front desk role within a clinical setting is required Proficiency with dental practice management systems is a plus Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance verification processes Strong computer skills including typing (10 key typing), Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with health information management software Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are highly desirable Ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping Experience in medical billing, coding, or office management is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy This role offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to delivering exceptional patient care through efficient administrative support.
