Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Shelton, CT

Job Summary â Dental Assistant Our General Dentistry private practice is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. The required days/hours are as follows: Monday (7:45AM-5PM), Tuesday (7:45AM-4PM), Thursday (7:45AM-5PM), Friday (7:45am-4PM). (Office is closed on Wednesdays and Weekends) Responsibilities of the role include: Preparation of operatories, including setup of necessary instruments for each procedure Welcoming patients and seating them in the appropriate treatment operatory Detailed documentation of patient dental and medical history, including detailed treatment notes Taking and mounting high quality digital dental radiographs as prescribed by the doctor Chairside assisting a variety of different dental procedures (including endodontics, implant dentistry, restorative procedures, oral surgery) Instrument processing and sterilization and maintaining strict Infection Control Standards Cleaning and disinfecting operatories, lab, and surrounding office areas Taking 3D digital scans with our intraoral scanner (iTero) for diagnostic and treatment purposes Requirements: Minimum of 2 years chairside dental assisting experience Experience with Dentrix Practice Management Software Demonstrated successful completion of the dental radiography portion of the DANB exam Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work well as a member of a team, and to multitask in a busy work environment Reliability and punctuality in commitment to required days and hours Knowledge of front desk is a plus (not required) CPR training certification a plus (provided by Employer as needed) Salary & Benefits: Starting hourly wage $20/hour, commensurate and negotiable based on experience 401(k) matching for full-time employees PTO (paid vacation, sick-leave) for full-time employees Employee Dental treatment available Access to state-of-the-art, on-campus Fitness Center Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Continuing education credits Dental insurance Employee discount Free parking On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid sick time Paid time off Paid training Safety equipment provided Experience: Dental assisting: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
