Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments - Take and develop dental x-rays - Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow - Perform other administrative tasks as needed Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program - X-Ray certification required - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Proficiency in medical documentation systems (Epic, Eaglesoft) - Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus - Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Skills: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills - Ability to work well in a team environment - Proficiency in using dental software for record keeping and scheduling We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
