WHAT YOU’LL DO: Safety: *Obtain accurate dental history and/or records from patients & parents *Ensure that the health history is updated for all returning patients *Ensure the doctor has reviewed treatment record, consents, and health history. *Maintain a clean, sterile, and fun environment where children feel comfortable; prepare children for treatment, and assist the doctor - enabling him to provide safe, efficient, quality dental treatment. *Clean each operatory in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines. *Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices). *Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment. Quality: *Perform functions in accordance with Nebraska’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties. *Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures of children as appropriate. *Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices. *Instruct patients and parents on postoperative and general oral health care. *Record charting and all doctor notes in the patient chart as directed by the doctor. *Prepare materials for making impressions and restorations. *Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, replenishing as needed. Show: Actively participate by striving to keep children and parents focused on optimal treatment and oral health. - Be detail oriented - Treat each kid as a VIP Efficiency: - Work and communicate with co-workers as a team to maintain patient flow and smooth operation. WHAT WE SEEK: - X-Ray Certified in Nebraska - Coronal Polish Certified in Nebraska Certifications preferred. However, willing to train a highly energetic and motivated individual.
