Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, to promote oral health. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term health. Maintain accurate and detailed dental records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental, Pearl, and XDR, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Review documentation for accuracy, update medical records regularly, and assist with medical coding as needed for billing purposes. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Ability to perform patient care tasks confidently while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
