Job Overview We are seeking a loyal, talented and experienced Dental Assistant to join our dental practice at Woodlands Family Dental. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. The role involves working closely with patients, maintaining clinical standards, and providing exceptional support to the dental team. Duties Lead dental assistant Full understanding and knowledge of a dental practice. Assist dentists during various dental procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Understand and operate assisted hygiene. Ensure patient comfort and provide reassurance throughout treatments. Take and develop dental radiographs as required. Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards. Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment information in the practice management system. Provide post-treatment instructions to patients clearly and professionally. Manage appointment scheduling and organise patient flow efficiently. Support with administrative tasks such as inventory management of dental supplies. Uphold high standards of infection control and cleanliness within the clinic environment. Requirements 5 years of proven experience or training in patient care, within a dental setting. Character and Integrity Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients. Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work well as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs.
