Part time General Dentist - 3V Dental - Port Washington, NY

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of dental health. This role involves diagnosing and treating various dental issues, performing procedures, and ensuring a comfortable experience for patients of all ages. The successful candidate will be proficient in various dental software systems and possess strong clinical skills. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans. Perform a range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions. Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to deliver high-quality patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care strategies. Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuous education and training. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state dental license to practice dentistry. Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with skills in root canal therapy and dental fabrication. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
