Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant (DA I), where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will support dentists in delivering efficient, comfortable, and comprehensive dental treatments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting dedicated to oral health excellence. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique to uphold infection control standards. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), utilizing digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners when needed, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage medical documentation and records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging procedures when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology. Provide patients with instructions for oral care following treatment. Coordinate with the dental reception team to schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and handle patient inquiries professionally. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry practices to maximize efficiency during procedures. Strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards; experience with 3D scanners is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members—including dental receptionists—and providing clear instructions to patients.
