Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when applicable, to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix,ensuring all medical documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. Support patient care by taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and explaining procedures clearly using appropriate dental terminology. Coordinate with the dental reception team to schedule appointments, confirm patient information, and handle administrative tasks seamlessly. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized. Skills Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Strong familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, for managing medical records and documentation accurately. Excellent understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry to optimize efficiency during procedures. Experience with X-ray technology and medical imaging tools like 3D scanners to support comprehensive patient assessments. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatric patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
