Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Newark, NJ

Overview We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and organized Insurance Coordinator to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient care and ensuring a smooth treatment process. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dental and medical terminology. As a Treatment Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their treatment plans and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Responsibilities Serve as the main liaison between patients and the dental team, ensuring clear communication regarding treatment plans. Schedule appointments efficiently while managing the clinic's calendar and patient flow. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to patient visits. Assist with dental billing processes, including coding using ICD-10 standards. Maintain patient records in compliance with clinic policies and regulations. Provide support in coordinating treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences. Utilize dental systems to track patient progress and follow up on treatment outcomes. Calculating patient financial responsibilities and collecting payment. Ensure that all patient inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally. Foster a welcoming environment for patients, making them feel comfortable throughout their visit. Requirements Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred. Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and documentation review processes. Knowledge of dental billing practices and coding, particularly ICD-10. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental procedures. Bilingual skills are highly desirable to assist diverse patient populations. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service and patient care. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
