Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Uniontown, PA
Job Summary We are looking for a dental hygienist on Tuesdays. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to all safety protocols and infection control standards. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft ensuring HIPAA compliance. Support infection control procedures by practicing aseptic techniques and managing sterilization of instruments and equipment. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting. Proven experience in dental office environments with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry is preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, along with familiarity with medical coding and documentation review. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and HIPAA regulations. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly. Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week Work Location: In person
