Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Houston, TX

Position Overview: The ideal candidate is a reliable, team-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a busy clinical setting. You will play a key role in supporting our dentist, ensuring smooth patient flow, and helping provide an outstanding experience for every patient who walks through our doors. Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including hygiene, fillings, crown/bridge, Invisalign, root canals, surgical extractions, dentures, pediatrics, oral and conscious sedation Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms Take x-rays, pano, intraoral photos, iTero scanning, Invisalign records Open Dental software Provide excellent patient care and education Support patient comfort and communication Maintain organization of office supplies and inventory Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records and lab cases Contribute to efficient patient scheduling and office flow Follow all infection control and safety protocols Make temporary crowns, whitening trays, retainers, place Invisalign buttons, take impressions Requirements: Must hold an active dental assisting license Maintain a clean, professional appearance while on duty Previous dental assisting experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive, professional attitude and a commitment to patient care Ideal qualities Friendly, personable, and presentable Comfortable talking with patients Trainable and eager to learn Team player and strong work ethic Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Able to stay calm and professional in a busy environment Compensation: Pay based on experience Additional benefits may be discussed during the interview Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Free parking On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Dental License (Required) Work Location: In person
