Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Miramar, FL

We are looking for an experienced dental assistant to join our team. To work under a dentistâs supervision to prepare equipment that will be used in dental procedures, to ready patients for these procedures and to help the dentist during these procedures by passing instruments and generally anticipating the dentistâs needs. Some other responsibilities may include sterilization, evaluating the doctorâs schedule throughout the day, managing / tracking inventory. The ideal candidate will be a career minded individual that works well independently as well as part of the team. Responsibilities: · Work under the direct supervision of the Dentist and Office Manager. · Perform a variety of patient care including but not limited to providing four-handed dentistry chair-side assistance, while dentists examine and treat patients. · Ensure patients are as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records. · Prepare materials, take dental x-rays. · Review patients medical history at the onset of their appointment. · Greeting and seating patients; conversing and creating meaningful relationships with patients. · Keeping accurate clinical notes on every patient while they are still in the chair. · Walk every patient to the Front Desk after procedure to ensure proper hand-off and continuity at check out. · Educating patients about treatment, post-operative, and preventive care. · Assist in managing doctorâs schedule to ensure timeliness and optimal productivity. · Performing quick turn-over of rooms to maintain patient schedule. · Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures. · Help track the inventory of dental supplies and maintain adequate level of stock in operatories.
