Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist with various clinical procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment to ensure optimal oral health outcomes. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred, along with a background in pediatric dentistry and four-handed dentistry techniques. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and patient comfort within our clinic. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments including vital signs and medical history review Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Assist the dentist during various procedures using chairside assisting techniques Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Review medical records and ensure proper documentation review for each patient visit Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment Utilize dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and team members Support general dentistry services with knowledge of anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review Ensure compliance with infection control standards and OSHA regulations Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings, including pediatric dentistry preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently for optimal patient care Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to all age groups including pediatrics Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security Ability to work effectively within a team environment, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay: $650.00 - $750.00 per day Expected hours: No less than 32 per week Work Location: In person
