We are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienistto join our private practice! Candidate must also be energetic, enjoys working with adults and children, and a team player with the ability to multitask. Responsibilities: Educate patients in all aspects of oral health to provide a better understanding of prevention methods and restorative needs Taking digital dental radiographs (x-rays) Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth Applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides) Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling) Counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health Making impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth used by dentists to evaluate patient treatment needs) Performing documentation and office management activities Work together with the team to provide top-notch dental services. Work hard to ensure patient care and experience is top priority. Make sure each patient has a pleasant experience. Motivated, positive and professional Qualifications and Requirements: Active Texas Dental hygienist license with the State of Texas. Dental Hygiene Degree from an accredited program. Active CPR Certification Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation. Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training as required by law. Previous work experience as a dental hygienist of at least 2 years. Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience: dental: +2 years (Preferred) Work authorization: United States (Required) Position is +32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, and occasional Friday or Saturdays.
