Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced tools. Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, prosthodontics, root canal therapy, and dental extractions. Utilize dental terminology accurately to explain treatment plans and procedures to patients clearly and confidently. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during all clinical procedures. Manage medical documentation diligently in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate medical records and treatment notes are maintained in electronic health record systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Use medical imaging techniques effectively to diagnose oral conditions and plan appropriate treatments. Maintain proficiency in dental fabrication processes for prosthodontics and restorations while adhering to best practices in infection prevention. Stay updated on advances in endodontics, oral surgery, and other specialties to enhance patient outcomes. Qualifications Valid state license to practice dentistry with current certification in general dentistry. Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment with familiarity using electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations. Demonstrated ability to perform complex procedures including root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, and endodontic treatments. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate treatment options clearly. Experience with medical imaging equipment and techniques for diagnostic purposes. Ability to work efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize clinical productivity while maintaining high-quality care.
