Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team temporarily. The ideal candidate will be an RDA who is looking for a permanent long term full time position, and who has experience in a dental clinic setting and is familiar with various dental procedures, including general dentistry, implants and prosthodontics. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready. Take X-Rays and CBCT scans, adhering to safety protocols for medical imaging. Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using Archy Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring a clean environment. Infection control is fundational in our practice Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Help with appointment schedules, including confirming appointments and following up with patients. Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming atmosphere for young patients. Skills Proficient in general dentistry practices with hands-on experience in a dental clinic. Knowledge of prosthodontics procedures is preferred. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Archy Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately. Experience with X-ray technology and medical imaging techniques. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially children in pediatric dentistry settings. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
