Dental Assistant Duties and Responsibilities Gathering patient information and health background Pulling up patient dental and relevant medical history for hygienist and doctor for examination Preparing patients for hygienist Providing patient care and support Taking X-rays of patient’s teeth and processing results Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment Preparing the work area for procedures Assisting hygienist with periodontal charting Assisting hygienist by handing them instruments and equipment, taking notes when needed Educating patients on good oral hygiene habits Updating patient records and treatment plans Directing patients and maintaining schedule Stocking hygiene dental suites and monitoring inventory Calling patients for unscheduled cleaning appointments Assistance with sterilization in between patient care Send your resume and 3 reasons why you think you are perfect for this position.
