Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant/Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations, assist with patient care, and ensure the smooth functioning of the dental team. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and excellent communication skills to provide exceptional patient care. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control standards Assist the dentist during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Perform chairside assisting, including taking vital signs, medical imaging, and providing patient comfort Take X-rays and utilize 3D scanners for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Provide patient education on dental procedures and post-treatment care Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols Minor lab work at times based on patient need Requirements Certified EDDA Prior experience in dental assisting within a general office preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; experience with 3D scanners is a plus Strong understanding of aseptic technique and sterilization procedures Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated dental team committed to providing high-quality patient care.
