Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Sellersburg, IN

Serenity Smile Care, LLC is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant at our growing general dentistry practice in Sellersburg, IN. We are looking to add an enthusiastic, experienced dental assistant to our team. In this position, our dental assistant is responsible for providing patient care and some administrative tasks in our office under the direction of our doctor.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Welcoming patients into our dental office

Preparing patients for their treatment by ensuring all patient paperwork is completed prior to appointment

Setting up, sterilizing, and disinfecting all operatories, surfaces and dental instruments in preparation for patient care

Monitors patients while using nitrous oxide sedation

Strict adherence to infection control, OSHA and HIPAA guidelines

Maintaining dental equipment, maintenance logs, etc

Assisting dentist chairside in the operatory

Taking alginate impressions, scans and fabricating temporary crowns

Taking diagnostic quality radiographs to aid our dentist in the diagnosis of dental diseases and conditions

Placing sealants and coronal polishing of patients

Providing patients with post-operative instructions and other information needed to help them feel comfortable after dental procedures

Take preliminary medical histories and vital signs to be reviewed by the dentist

Managing/monitoring dental supply orders and inventory

Performing other ancillary duties as needed in the office such as scheduling appointments and assisting with front office administrative tasks when necessary

Must work well with others and be a team player

Maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the office

- Participates in office marketing campaigns, social media marketing, ground marketing and other activities that positively promote the practice.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a dental assistant is required
-Dental assistant program graduate preferred
-Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
-Good computer skills and some knowledge of dental practice management software
-Excellent communication and people skills
-Displays great attention to detail, well-organized and reliable
-Flexible and open to learning the process and workflows specific to Serenity Smile Care
Starting Pay: $19/hour based on experience and qualifications
