Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including patient check-in and check-out. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform inventory management for dental supplies and materials. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications: Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with prosthodontics and general dentistry practices. Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is preferred. Experience in dental assisting, including chairside assistance and patient management. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical documentation. Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus but not required.
