Lead Dental Assistant â South Tampa Busy and growing privately owned dental practice in South Tampa is seeking an experienced Lead Dental Assistant to help guide our clinical team while continuing to deliver 5-star service to our amazing patients. About the Practice Privately owned and rapidly growing General dentistry office performing specialty procedures Technology-driven (including iTero scanner, Invisalign, implants, endodontics, and more) Team-focused, patient-centered culture Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and support the Dental Assistant team Train new and existing assistants on clinical protocols, technology, and workflows Serve as a clinical resource and role model for best practices Collaborate with doctors and management to improve efficiency and patient care Clinical & Operational Duties Assist dentists with all general and specialty procedures iTero scanner usage and training Prepare and educate patients prior to doctor exams Maintain clinical supplies, inventory, and organization Ensure sterilization and infection control standards are met Prepare treatment rooms and instruments Take and process X-rays Record medical histories and chart existing and recommended treatments Educate patients and team members as needed Greet patients warmly and help create a positive guest experience Work collaboratively with the entire team to deliver exceptional care Qualifications Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license Current CPR certification Minimum of 2+ years of dental assisting experience (lead or senior experience strongly preferred) Experience with specialty procedures such as Invisalign, implants, and root canals is a plus Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Professional, positive attitude with a team-first mindset Must be proficient with Dentrix Job Details Job Type: Full-time Location: In person Schedule: Practice is open one Saturday per month Benefits Employee discounts Paid time off Bonus/commission structure Application Questions The practice is open one Saturday a month.
