Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienists to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and organized dental environment. Minimum of two years experience Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, passing instruments and materials as needed - Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, including suctioning, retracting tissues, and applying topical anesthetics and fabricating temporaries - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes Qualifications: - Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience - X-Ray certification required - Proficiency in medical documentation systems (e.g., electronic health records) - Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for dental restorations is a plus - Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols - Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology - Experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial but not required - Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is a plus We are looking for a team player who is detail-oriented, compassionate towards patients, and has excellent communication skills.
