Duties: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing - Take and evaluate dental x-rays - Conduct oral cancer screenings - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed - Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment - Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in Dentrix Qualifications: - Valid dental hygiene license in the state of California - Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing procedures - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment - Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
