The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various clinical procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans. Utilize dental software such as Epic or Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs when necessary, ensuring patients are stable during procedures. Manage inventory of dental supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure availability. Skills Proficiency in dental terminology to communicate effectively within the practice. Experience with 3D scanners for imaging purposes is a plus. Familiarity with medical coding practices for accurate record keeping. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members. Ability to assist in various clinical tasks, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a busy environment.
