Overview Mesolella Dental is seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. Our practice has served Greece and the surrounding communities since 1966, and is locally owned and operated as a third generation family business. Responsibilities Record and review medical history and records ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning cancerous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth, and applying fluoride treatments Assist with dental imaging procedures including full mouth series, panoramic, and CBCT following ALARA principals and ADA standards Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Document treatment and charting procedures accurately in OpenDental Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization and aseptic techniques Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans to best serve our patients Monitor patient comfort and provide compassionate care throughout appointments Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Experience with dental office software such as OpenDental, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR systems Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment effectively Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, medical coding, and documentation review processes Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and care Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and general dentistry procedures Prior experience working in dental clinics or healthcare environments is highly desirable We are looking for a compassionate hygienist to join us 3-4 days per week, with eligibility for benefits starting at 24 hours per week.
