We are looking for a great spanish speaking dental assistant for our small Pediatric office. Applicants need great communication skills, possess a positive attitude while exhibiting an enthusiastic temperament, and most important….. enjoys working with children. Along with recall appointments our office provides various types of treatment including but not limited to, oral sedation, nitrous and in house general anesthesia. Saturday availability is required at least once month. *experience preferred - pay DOE Responsibilities Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed for each procedure Sterilize instruments according to regulations Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Assisting doctor during sedation and general anesthesia procedures Take X-Rays Other duties as required Knowledgeable in HIPAA, WISHA, and OSHA Skills Working with children Spanish Speaking Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills especially with children Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) Language: Spanish (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Tacoma, WA 98466 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
