Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control protocols are followed, and support the delivery of high-quality dental care across various specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing advanced dental technology and EMR systems, contributing to patient comfort and treatment success. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper patient positioning and safety protocols. Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Open Dental, Dexis. Provide patient education on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions using appropriate dental terminology. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control policies and OSHA guidelines. Demonstrate proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely for both adult and pediatric patients. Experience working in general dentistry settings with exposure to prosthodontics and endodontics is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
