We are willing to train if you are an organized individual who is dependable, a fast learner, compassionate, and have management potential. This is a 4-day per week position. Responsibilities to include: Chairside assisting ● greeting/seating patients ● removing and placing arch wires ● changing elastics ● assisting doctor in all bonding procedures ● taking and pouring of impressions ● digital scanning ● taking x-rays and diagnostic photographs ● instrument sterilization ● operatory prep ● maintaining patient flow ● maintaining patient charts ● inventory control ● instructions to patient and parents ● other clinical duties as needed to assist the team Qualifications Required: Minimum 1 year work experience as a dental assistant High school diploma Friendly and professional demeanor with excellent attention to detail Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear and concise manner Proficient in the use of basic word processing and data entry in a Windows-based environment (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred: Certified Dental Assistant Active Washington State Dental Assistant License 2 years experience in orthodontic assisting Experience with Dolphin, or other orthodontic management software This is a full-time position: 4 days per week, days vary Monday-Friday, with NO Saturdays. Hours typically 7am-5:30pm. Must be available to work in both the Gig Harbor and Tacoma office locations.
