Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care in a friendly and professional environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist dentists during examinations and procedures as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in Dentrix software. Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary. Stay current with best practices in general dentistry and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures. Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental office management software. Strong understanding of infection control standards within a dental setting. Ability to work effectively with children in a pediatric environment is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
