Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves supporting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and safety. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating a welcoming environment while maintaining efficiency and compliance within our dental practice.Bilinguals are preferred. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during various dental procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed. Take and develop dental X-rays and other medical imaging as required; operate 3D scanners when necessary. Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, verify insurance information, and update medical records efficiently. Provide patient education on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and relevant procedures to ensure seamless clinic operations. Requirements Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification. Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting; experience with dental receptionist duties is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining patient comfort. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, X-ray procedures, and medical imaging techniques. Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable; familiarity with 3D scanners and medical coding is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
