Join our Santa Rosa, CA dental team as a [Registered Dental Hygienist RDH]

Job Summary

We are an established, patient-centered dental practice in Santa Rosa seeking a part time Registered Dental Hygienist (HDH) to join our team. There is possibility to transition into full time in the future. We are proud of our positive, supportive team culture and our focus on quality care, co-diagnosis, and patient education. We are looking for a hygienist with a gentle, patient-centered chairside manner and strong communication skills who values teamwork and practicing at a high clinical standard

Office Schedule

Wednesday to Friday 8am to 5pm

We schedule one hour per patient, 8 patients a day.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult and child prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and SRP as indicated
• Assess periodontal health and document findings accurately in the dental chart
• Update and review patient medical history at each visit and record complete, accurate clinical notes following every patient appointment.
• Collaborate with the dentist in co-diagnosis by identifying and documenting clinical findings and capturing intraoral photographs prior to the doctor’s exam to support patient education and treatment planning
• Take digital radiographs as needed
• Perform oral cancer screenings
• Scale, polish, and apply fluoride treatments
• Educate patients on periodontal disease, caries prevention, and home care
• Be able to administer local anesthesia, including infiltration and inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) blocks, in accordance with California licensure requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized treatment room and follow infection control protocols
• Work collaboratively with the dentist and clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
• Infection control certificate
• Current CPR certificate
• X-ray certificate
