Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Full or Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and familiarity with modern dental software systems. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on delivering exceptional dental services. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, maintaining infection control standards, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental team. We are a small private practice that is growing quickly, we are in need of another hygienist to help with our patient demand, and to cover other employee's vacation time. We can create a flexible schedule that fits your needs as well as ours, we are willing to work around kids school/sports schedules, family is very important to us and we want to extend that to our employee's as well. We are closed each year for the week of cherry festival, spring break to be with families, extended weekend for thanksgiving and the week between Christmas and new year's with occasionally longer depending on how it falls. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral health. Medical history, and dental assessments for patients of all ages. Capture and interpret medical imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in EMR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records using software. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Experience working in general dentistry Proficiency with dental software systems such as MOGO, Eaglesoft, , or similar EMR platforms. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and vital signs assessment. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards diverse patient populations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment utilizing aseptic techniques and maintaining high standards of infection control. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security.
