Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Interlochen, MI

Job Overview We are hoping to hire a hygienist part time to join our team and help increase our capacity for providing cleanings to patients. We are looking for someone who can work Wednesdays from 8AM-5PM each week. We would also consider providing more hours from Monday-Thursday if desired. You would be working alongside a group of doctors who are providing a full list of advanced dental services, and you will gain exposure to the most modern dental technologies as we stay on the leading edge of dentistry in Northern Michigan. Because we continue to accept dental insurance, patients are happy to see you each day and our schedule stays busy. We have completely renovated our space, so you would be working in a brand new operatory with brand new equipment in a very modern office. We now have an experienced team that is ready to support anyone who is interested in starting with us, and positive office culture has always been a top priority. There are no benefits included with this part-time position. Responsibilities Include: · Greeting each patient and staying on time with your schedule · Sterilizing and organizing instruments · Providing patients with a comfortable experience · Proficiency in electronic charting of patient dental conditions and treatment needs · Taking any necessary x-rays · Identifying conditions such as caries, gingivitis, periodontitis, and other oral diseases · Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and recommending appropriate dental products · Using intraoral cameras to help document oral conditions, or willingness to learn · Using an intraoral scanner to document patient conditions and educate them on treatment options, or willingness to learn · Effectively cleaning each patient's teeth according to their specific needs · Taking regular initiative to complete tasks such as stocking rooms and supplies and maintaining a spotless operatory · Working well with other team members and helping others when needed Education: · Certification from accredited dental hygiene school and passed required regional or state licensing board examinations · Current hygiene license issued by State of Michigan Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour Work Location: In person
