Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and facilitate smooth patient intake processes Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Denticon Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing with systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear information and directing calls appropriately Maintain accurate medical and dental records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Process payments, perform medical collections, and handle billing tasks including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and Medicare claims Support office management activities such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical files Requirements Proven experience in a dental or medical front desk role with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical administrative procedures Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9), insurance verification, and billing processes Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and health information management software Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally in a busy environment Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Previous clinic or healthcare office experience preferred; familiarity with dental clinic operations highly desirable Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and appointment scheduling Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through outstanding administrative support.
