Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental team. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing outstanding patient service from check-in to check-out Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software (Eaglesoft) Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility Manage patient intake forms, update electronic health records (EHR systems), and review documentation for accuracy Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and professionally Process payments, perform medical billing and collections Maintain organized dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management Assist with insurance verification, claims submission, follow-up on unpaid claims, and documentation review Support clinic operations by managing office supplies, filing medical records, and coordinating front desk activities Use computer skills to navigate dental software Requirements Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong computer skills Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor Clinic or hospital experience is advantageous; familiarity with health/dental information management systems is preferred Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Dental experience and knowledge prefered but not required We are a well established family practice with 30+ years serving the Santa Cruz area.
