Job Summary We are seeking an experienced full-time Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice, providing exceptional care to both adult and pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, proficiency with EMR systems, and a passion for delivering comprehensive dental services in a friendly, professional environment. This role involves supporting various dental procedures, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed. Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards. Manage medical documentation, records, and coding accurately within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging procedures as needed for comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance tailored for both adults and children. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic environment following infection control guidelines and sterilization procedures. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and assisting with front desk duties as a dental receptionist when necessary. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or similar platforms. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical documentation, coding practices, and infection control protocols. Hands-on experience with X-ray technology including digital imaging and 3D scanners preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and aseptic techniques. Experience supporting various specialties such as prosthodontics and endodontics is highly desirable. Ability to perform vital signs measurement and assist with complex procedures requiring detailed knowledge of medical terminology.
