FKLEXIBLE SCHEDULE Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our dentists and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform chairside assisting duties, including taking X-rays and managing medical imaging equipment. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, fostering a welcoming environment. Manage dental clinic operations, including scheduling appointments and handling administrative tasks as needed. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in areas such as general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Utilize EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for efficient patient management and record keeping. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry being a plus. Proficient in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices. Experience with medical documentation, medical coding, and managing medical records is advantageous. Ability to perform vital signs assessments and understand basic medical terminology. Knowledge of 3D scanning technology is beneficial but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members alike.
