Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment plans in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and scheduling Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques Experience in pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-specific patient care approaches Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during general dentistry procedures Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medical coding, and patient assessment protocols Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about oral health practices Prior dental office or clinic experience demonstrating familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA compliance Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a meaningful difference!
