Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures, including general dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared and sterilized according to aseptic techniques. Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture accurate images for diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to document patient information accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy. Tak medical history of patients prior to treatment, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and up-to-date. Provide comprehensive chairside assistance with skills in dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control protocols to ensure safe and efficient procedures. Support the dental reception team by managing patient flow, scheduling and appointments. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control standards and proper aseptic techniques throughout the day. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with medical coding and documentation is preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic technique. Ability to operate dental X-ray equipment safely and accurately; certification in radiography is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages.
